Linux Server Administrator
at WebProviders in Metro Manila - Mandaluyong
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Daily monitoring and maintenance of over 40 servers.
- Perform backup, file replications and script management for servers.
- Test and apply new software and maintenance patches, including patch management services.
- Complete security audits on routine basis.
- Administrative scripting with Perl and Bash/Shell.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years Linux Server administration experience
- Red Hat Enterprise, Fedora Core and Ubuntu Linux experience, a must.
- Windows 2003/2008 is a plus.
- Solid experience with multi-server environment / deployments.
- Ability to gather requirements, design and implement appropriate solutions.
- Strong process oriented experience in terms of implementation and completion.
- Strong knowledge of Linux servers (networking, web services and storage)
- Familiarity with databases and web programming languages and automation.
- High Availability and failover scenarios, load balanced environments.
- Strong working knowledge of storage environments (SAN, NAS).
- Software experience with Apache, PHP, MySQL, postfix, LDAP, Radius, bind, clustering, virtualization.
- Automation via scripting (Perl, Bash/Shell).
- File Replication, File System Tuning, Upgrading and Configuring
- Troubleshooting skills
- Disaster Recovery experience and know-how.
- Documentation processes and procedures.
