Accountant
(National Capital Reg - Makati City)
Responsibilities:
The Accountant is primarily responsible for overseeing the financial systems, controls, and reporting, audit to include management of the budget and forecast process; inventory costing and analysis, variance analysis and explanation; and management reporting. Assesses and communicates the financial impact of strategic and/or tactical actions within the business unit, and suggests process improvements with the objective of adding value and maximizing profitability.
Maintain and update books of accounts.
Meet the deadlines set for internal and external reports.
Provide accurate and timely accounting data.
Document processes and procedures.
Oversee reconciliation of all transaction between various vendors and customers against external and internal records.
Work with ARP management to improve the financial planning and forecasting processes and accuracy.
Understand and communicate specific risks and assumptions behind the plan and forecast with regard to sales, gross margin, SG&A, and Inventory.
Manage the monthly forecasting process and ensure timely and accurate forecast submissions.
Review, understand and communicate actual financial results and any variance to plan or forecast with regard to sales, gross margin and SG&A.
Participate at the executive level managing the course and direction of the brands and business.
Utilize available tools (including Business Intelligence) to analyze gross margin and profitability at various levels. Identify and facilitate areas for improvement.
Identify and facilitate process or program improvements to assist in realizing operational goals.
Analyze pricing/program sheets to help ensure highest possible profitability.
Financial analysis of new business opportunities as assigned.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam), Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
3-5 years of prior Public Accounting experience with a CPA.
Strong Quickbooks knowledge required.
Must have the ability to relate to all levels in the organization.
Required language(s): English
At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Must have experience in monthly/quarterly close.
Must have knowledge of consolidation accounting.
Applicants must be willing to work in Makati City.
